Hi friends!
Remember me? It has been so long since I blogged. I feel like my sweet husband has given me a special gift by updating our church site so we can post recipes again and I can blog on occasion. This is great timing .....just in time for the new year!
I saw many of you in WW meetings this week and what fun it was introducing you to the 2009 Momentum Program!!! I love the idea of combining filling foods w/tracking for our best success ever! If you haven't been to a WW meeting since 12-07-08 come & see us soon and get your own set of new materials for the new year! It's sure to be a successful one!
I am filled with great joy as I type this blog. I have so much to be thankful for. Most of you know that I have a new man in my life. Our first grandchild was born on 05-30-08 and he is precious! I am crazy in love with Noah Braden Huckabay. He is the neatest little man. He has stolen my heart. Noah and his parents (Kyle & Jenny) are doing very well. Our youngest son, Nathan, is doing very well as a sophomore in H.S. and my husband, Dale, continues to make me smile each and everyday! Things are going well at church and at WW. God is just soooo good!
What a special season we are in right now. I love the Christmas season. Luke 2:10-11 says 'But the angel said to them, "Do not be afraid. I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; He is Christ the Lord."
Christmas is such a joyous celebration of our Savior's birth. We celebrate with parties, church & school programs, and family gatherings. With all of these special events comes the fear of getting off track with our eating & exercising. We are afraid we'll lose our momentum. In fact, we may be so afraid that we turn down invitations to Christmas parties and gatherings. God's angels are telling us not to be afraid. I believe that God will take us by the hand and show us a different route to take during this holiday season if we will only ask Him and follow His leading.
Our heavenly Father wants us to enjoy the holidays with our family and friends as we celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ. He can enable us to maintain our weight-loss success during this joyous season and to keep our momentum going. We only have to ask Him to go along with us to each and every celebration and allow Him to guide our choices
Let's enjoy the season to the fullest as we focus on Him and the reason for this wonderful celebration. He is faithful. His promises are true and He does care about every detail of our lives.
I hope to see you in a meeting before Christmas! Our Momentum Program will help you to either get your momentum going or keep it going! I am loving Momentum! I am staying satisfied with the filling foods and even losing a few pounds (rather than gaining!) during this season of eating, drinking, and being merry!
Enjoy the Christmas season and know that I love you! Watch for more blogs in the future! :-)
